ive been gone.
forgive me for totally neglecting you all.
whoever you are out there.
i have had nose in some good books.
you know how i am about my self help spiritually deepening books. i love them. i just believe we become the books we read. the things we feed our minds, our hearts.
every now and then… ill read some greasy romantic novel or dramatically sad book that
brings you to tears
your heart pulsates
your hands sweat
and the pages stick to your hands…
you can not set it down for even a minute in fear that if you do the scene will stop, the flows going and the pictures you see will end. its almost like pausing a movie 50 times .
i rarely get anything deep or any type of aha! moment out of it…
that’s the point.
but i read this book .
and surprisingly… i was enthralled with the simplicity yet ever powerful statement made by James Patterson.
“Imagine life is a game in which you are juggling five balls. The balls are called work, family, health, friends, and integrity. And you’re keeping all of them in the air. But one day you finally come to understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. The other four balls–family, health, friends, integrity–are made of glass. If you drop one of these, it will be irrevocably scuffed, nicked, perhaps even shattered. And once you truly understand the lesson of the five balls, you will have the beginnings of balance in your life.”
It’s one of those true bits of wisdom.almost everybody can resonate so strongly with , regardless of income, faiths, religions, or any other walk in life.
and quite possibly it could be,
